The body, fretboard, and headstock are all bound in Ziricote, a figured wood which pairs with Dana Bourgeois’ distinctive tri-color herringbone top border and delicate Pearl inlays to create an air of understated elegance.
Years in the making, this is the first Madagascar Rosewood Touchstone Series build handcrafted by Bourgeois Guitars in Lewiston, ME and Beijing, China. The Touchstone Series is a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship that is synonymous with the Bourgeois name. The all-new Touchstone Series D Signature/TS features a torrefied Old-Growth Alaskan Sitka Spruce top and Adirondack Spruce braces harvested from deep in Bourgeois’ own backyard, selected and hand-voiced in Lewiston, Maine by Dana Bourgeois and his team. With back and sides of solid Madagascar Rosewood, this high gloss dreadnought features Dana’s signature herringbone top purfling, 14-fret Mahogany neck, Ebony fretboard and bridge, Ziricote bindings, Bone nut and saddle, Gold Schaller Grand Tune tuners with Ebony buttons, Mother of Pearl fretboard and headstock inlays, 1 23/32″ nut width and more.
