A true studio workhorse with stage history, this 1971 Martin D-18 has been a long-standing part of Chad Taylor’s recording and touring arsenal. Built in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, during Martin’s golden transitional years, this D-18 features a select Sitka spruce top and beautifully aged Brazilian mahogany back and sides, delivering the focused, articulate tone that defined countless classic recordings.
Outfitted with a professionally installed K&K Pure Mini pickup system, this guitar moves seamlessly from the studio to the stage. It has been regularly serviced and maintained, showing only the kind of honest wear expected from a well-loved instrument. Its playability and balance make it a benchmark reference instrument for acoustic sessions.
This D-18 comes with its original hard shell case and decades of musical provenance — a cornerstone guitar from the personal collection of Chad Taylor (LIVE, The Gracious Few), heard on numerous studio projects and live performances.
Guitar is sold as-is, no returns.
