A great-looking example of Gibson's return to traditional Les Paul construction, this 2020 Les Paul Standard ’50s is finished in classic Heritage Cherry Sunburst over a maple-topped, solid mahogany body with no weight relief.
The mahogany neck features Gibson's substantial Vintage ’50s profile, paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard, 12" radius, 24.75" scale length and 22 medium-jumbo frets. Traditional appointments include an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, cream plastics and amber Top Hat controls.
Serial number 229700365 dates the guitar to October 23, 2020.
This example has been modified from its original pickup configuration and is currently fitted with a pair of uncovered double-cream humbuckers. Their exact models have not been verified. Also included is a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates bridge humbucker with nickel cover. The Pearly Gates is stored in a Seymour Duncan Duncan Custom box; please note that the box and enclosed pickup are different models.
The guitar presents very well overall, with attractive maple figuring visible beneath the Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish. It shows normal light evidence of play and handling along with natural patina on the nickel hardware, but no major structural damage or repair is apparent from our inspection.
Includes the Gibson hardshell case, Gibson multi-tool, Owner's Manual, warranty literature, polishing cloth and the additional Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates bridge pickup.
This guitar does not come with the original pickups. We have included a picture of the neck pickup. We are unsure what the brand is. We do know that they are alnico of somekind.
