The 1960s Bigsby B6 is the "cadillac" of vibrato tailpieces. If you’re looking at a classic deep-body hollow-body guitar from that era—think a Gretsch 6120 or a Gibson L-5—this is likely the piece of hardware providing that signature shimmer.

Unlike modern "licensed" versions that use die-casting, 60s units were sand-cast. This gives the metal a slightly granular, pitted texture under the polish.

The strings go directly from the bridge to the mounting axle.

Because there is no tension bar pushing the strings down, the B6 has a very "soft" or "squishy" feel. It requires very little effort to dip the pitch.
