The Boss DD-7 Digital Delay is a legendary workhorse in the pedal world. While it has been officially succeeded by the DD-8, many players still prefer the DD-7 for its specific interface and "warmer" digital algorithms.

It essentially takes the pristine digital repeats of the earlier DD-3 and adds modern features like long delay times, stereo operation, and specialized modes.

Key Performance Modes

• Digital (Standard): Provides crisp, clean repeats. It offers four time ranges: 50ms, 200ms, 800ms, and a massive 3200ms. (Note: Using specific stereo wiring can actually push the delay time up to 6.4 seconds).
• Analog: A modeled version of the classic Boss DM-2. It features darker, lo-fi repeats that degrade and "smear" as they trail off.
• Modulate: Adds a chorus-like shimmer to the delay trails, perfect for creating "lush" or ambient textures.
• Reverse: Plays the repeats backward for psychedelic, "Hendrix-style" soundscapes.
• Hold (Looper): Allows for up to 40 seconds of mono recording (20 seconds in stereo) with overdubbing capabilities.
