Used Epiphone EB-3 Bass Cherry

The Epiphone EB-3 is an affordable, long-scale recreation of the classic Gibson EB-3, famously used by rock legends like Jack Bruce (Cream) and Bill Wyman (The Rolling Stones). While it captures the iconic "SG" aesthetic, it has several modern deviations from the original 1960s design—most notably its scale length.

The EB-3 is known for a very specific, "woolly" sound profile

• The Neck Pickup: Often called the "Mudbucker," it produces a massive, bass-heavy tone with very little treble. It’s perfect for classic rock, blues-rock, and heavy psychedelic sounds.
• The Bridge Pickup: The mini-humbucker adds a bit of "bite" and midrange growl, helping the bass cut through a mix when blended with the neck pickup.
• The Scale Advantage: Unlike the original Gibson EB-3 (which was typically a 30.5" short scale), Epiphone's 34" scale provides more string tension and better low-end clarity, though it sacrifices the "rubbery" playability of a short scale.
