Used Fender Blues Jr IV guitar amp

The Fender Blues Junior IV is one of the absolute kings of the "grab-and-go" tube amp world. It’s a 15-watt, 1x12 combo that has been a staple for gigging musicians, studio players, and bedroom hobbyists for decades.

When Fender rolled out the IV (fourth generation) update, they specifically targeted the two biggest complaints players had about the older III version: the harsh high-end ice-pick frequencies and the somewhat boxy, muddy spring reverb.

The Blues Junior runs on two EL84 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. While big brother Fenders (like the Deluxe Reverb) use 6V6 tubes for that classic scooped mid-range American "glass," the EL84s give the Blues Junior a slightly punchier, mid-forward voice that leans just a hair toward a British flavor when it breaks up.

Fender completely re-voiced the preamp circuitry for the Mark IV. They smoothed out the frequency response, giving it full, robust bass response while taming the spiky highs. It sounds much more balanced, warm, and mature right out of the box.
