• Body: It features a mid-sized auditorium-shaped body with a cutaway for easier access to upper frets. It has a solid spruce top with laminated sapele (or mahogany, depending on the specific model) back and sides and scalloped "X"-bracing for resonance.
• Neck: A key selling point is the slim "C"-shaped Jazz Bass neck profile and a comfortable short 30-inch scale length (older models were 34" long scale). The neck material is nato (or mahogany) and the fingerboard is walnut with pearloid block inlays.
