The JHS Little Black Amp Box is a passive, incredibly simple utility pedal designed to act as an external master volume control for guitar amplifiers.

It is specifically engineered for players who own loud tube amplifiers (like a Marshall JCM800, Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, or Peavey 5150) that jump from a whisper to deafening volumes with the slightest touch of the amp's volume knob. It allows you to push the amplifier's preamp stage hard to get rich, natural tube saturation, but keep the overall volume at a comfortable, bedroom-friendly level.
