Following the trend of ultra-portable "fly rigs," the Line 6 POD Express Bass is a compact amp and effects processor that utilizes models derived from the award-winning HX family (Helix). It is designed to provide a complete signal chain in a battery-powered, pocket-sized format.

Amp Models & Cabinet Simulation

The central dial selects between seven distinct bass amp models, each of which automatically loads a matching speaker cabinet.

• Round: Based on the Ampeg B-15NF Portaflex.
• Grit: Based on the Ampeg SVT (Normal Channel).
• Vintage: Based on the Fender Bassman.
• Punch: Based on the Gallien-Krueger 800RB.
• Modern: Based on the Darkglass Microtubes B7K Ultra.
• Studio: Based on the Aguilar DB 751.
• Deep: Based on the Aguilar Tone Hammer.

The Signal Chain (17 Effects)

The pedal features four dedicated effects knobs, each containing four specific models:

• Comp: Includes Optical, LA, Deluxe, and Limiter styles to smooth out your dynamics.
• Synth: Offers Octave, Growl, Mutant (filter), and Deep synth textures.
• Dist: Covers Boost, Overdrive, Distortion, and Fuzz (modeled after a 1973 Ram's Head Big Muff).
• Mod/Delay: Features Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, and Tape Delay.

• USB-C Audio Interface: It functions as a 4-in/4-out audio interface, allowing you to record directly into a DAW or mobile device with re-amping capabilities.
