12-Fret 000 Body Design: The body joins the neck at the 12th fret rather than the traditional 14th fret. This design shifts the bridge position further down the soundboard's center, resulting in a more robust projection, enhanced bass response, and a uniquely sweet, balanced tone for a smaller-bodied instrument.
Vintage Aesthetics: The guitar features a classic slotted headstock with Golden Age Nickel tuners, which contributes to its old-school look and is often credited with adding to the overall string tension and sustain. Its top is finished with a striking "17 Style Shaded Gloss" (Sunburst) finish, while the back, sides, and neck feature a more understated satin finish.
Tonewood Combination: It features a Solid Sitka Spruce Top paired with Solid Mahogany Back and Sides. This combination is prized for delivering a clear, articulate sound with a strong fundamental note. The mahogany contributes a dry, woody warmth that is perfect for blues, folk, and fingerpicking styles, while the spruce provides clarity and dynamic range.
Comfort and Playability: The 000-size body is noticeably smaller and shallower than a Dreadnought, making it exceptionally comfortable for couch playing and prolonged sessions. The Modified Low Oval neck profile and the slightly wider 1-3/4" nut width (common on fingerstyle instruments) provide a comfortable, classic feel that accommodates intricate picking.
