The MXR Carbon Copy is arguably the most popular analog delay pedal of the modern era. Since its release by Jim Dunlop in 2008, it has become a "modern classic," finding a permanent home on thousands of professional and amateur pedalboards alike.

Unlike digital delays that aim for pristine, crystal-clear echoes, the Carbon Copy uses Bucket Brigade Technology (BBD). This results in a "dark" sound where each repeat loses high-end fidelity, melting into the background.

• Oscillation: If you crank the "Regen" (feedback) knob, it enters a wild, musical self-oscillation that sounds like a vintage sci-fi movie.
