The NUX Ace of Tone (NDO-5) is a versatile dual-overdrive pedal that combines two of NUX's most popular individual drive circuits into a single, stackable unit. It is designed for players who want a "best of both worlds" gain stage, featuring a mid-forward Tube Screamer-style circuit on one side and a transparent Bluesbreaker-style circuit on the other.

The Dual Engines

The pedal is divided into two distinct sides, each with its own independent controls for Drive, Tone, and Level:

• Left Side: Tubeman MKII (Tube Screamer Style)
  • Sound: A classic mid-forward overdrive that provides more clarity and gain than a vintage 808.
  • FAT Mode: By holding the footswitch for one second, you engage "FAT" mode, which enhances the low-end response and adds warmth—perfect for fattening up single-coil bridge pickups.
• Right Side: Morning Star (Bluesbreaker Style)
  • Sound: A very transparent, low-to-mid gain drive that preserves the natural character of your guitar and amp.
  • SHINE Mode: Holding the footswitch engages "SHINE" mode, which adds a significant treble boost for extra clarity and "sparkle," making it an excellent lead boost.
