The NUX Masamune Boost & Kompressor (NBK-5) is a high-performance analog "sound-crafter" pedal that combines two essential utility effects into a single housing. Named after the legendary Japanese swordsmith, it is designed to sharpen and refine your dry signal before it hits the rest of your chain.

The Dual-Engine Architecture

The pedal is split into two independent sections, each with its own footswitch and a specialized set of controls:

• Booster Section: Focuses on adding volume and harmonic "color" to your signal.
  • Boost Level & Drive: The "Drive" knob adds a touch of FET-based warmth and grit, while the "Level" provides a clean volume lift.
  • Hi-Cut Switch: A sensitive toggle that allows you to tame harsh high frequencies, which is especially useful when stacking multiple pedals or using bright single-coil pickups.
• Kompressor Section: Manages dynamics and increases sustain.
  • Blend Knob: A critical feature that adjusts transparency from 50% to 100%, letting you mix in your dry signal to keep your pick attack natural while adding sustain.
