The NUX NOD-1 Horseman (part of the Mini Core Series) is an analog overdrive pedal designed to recreate the legendary, high-headroom "transparent" overdrive of the Klon Centaur. It is widely regarded for its ability to function as both a clean boost and a rich, harmonic overdrive.

Dual Operating Modes

The Horseman features two distinct modes that you can toggle by holding the footswitch:

• Gold Mode: Mimics the classic Gold Klon, focusing on a transparent, organic overdrive that preserves the natural character of your guitar and amplifier.
• Silver Mode: Emulates the Silver Klon, which provides a wider gain range and a slightly more aggressive, compressed grit.

Key Controls and Technology

• The Gain Knob (Dual-Gang Pot): Like the original boutique circuit, the Gain knob is a "dual-pot" that simultaneously adjusts the amount of overdrive and the dry/wet signal mix. This ensures that even at high gain, your original note clarity isn't lost.
• Internal Voltage Doubling: While it runs on a standard 9V DC supply, it internally converts the power to 18V. This provides massive headroom and a faster, more "live" feel to your playing.
• Treble Control: A specialized active EQ that allows you to add "glass" to the high end or warm up a bright bridge pickup without affecting the low-mid frequencies.
