Its design is rooted in the warm, mid-humped character of classic Tube Screamer circuits. However, T-Rex loaded it with a series of routing and blending features that make it incredibly dynamic, touch-sensitive, and transparent compared to a standard green overdrive pedal.
The
T-Rex Møller 2
packs a classic bluesy overdrive, an independent 0-20dB clean boost, and a crucial mix control to blend clean and dirty signals.
Core Tone-Shaping Controls
Aside from standard Volume, Tone, and Gain controls, the Møller contains three critical elements that elevate it from a simple dirt box:
The Mix Control: This is the heart of the pedal’s magic. Rather than outputting 100% distorted signal, the Mix knob allows you to blend your clean guitar signal with the overdrive.
Why this matters: Blending in clean signal preserves the snappy, punchy transients of your pick attack and keeps your chords highly defined. It gives you the "clean-on-the-outside, dirty-on-the-inside" feel of a cranked vintage tube amp.
Independent Clean Boost (0–20dB):Operated by its own dedicated footswitch on the right, the clean boost circuit can be engaged completely independently of the overdrive. You can use it as a standalone volume lift to push a clean amp, or stack it with the overdrive to jump out of the mix during a guitar solo.
Bass Boost / Voice Toggle: Located between the knobs, this switch alters the low-frequency response. Engaging it adds a fat, low-end thump that compensates for the bass loss common to Tube Screamer-style circuits, making it perfect for thickening up single-coil pickups
