The Takamine EF325SRC is a Japanese-made Pro Series acoustic-electric guitar produced from the early 1990s through approximately 2003. Famous for its vibrant Transparent Red Stain (RC) gloss polyurethane finish, it combines stage-ready electronics with striking tonewoods.

Tonewoods & Construction

• Top: Solid Spruce with DC-1 bracing, delivering punchy projection, fast transient response, and broad dynamic headroom.
• Back & Sides: Laminate Bubinga (African Rosewood), providing a warm low-end and crisp top-end response that balances the dreadnought body shape.
• Neck & Fretboard: Mahogany neck joining at the 14th fret with a bound Rosewood fingerboard, 20 frets, and mother-of-pearl dot inlays.
• Body Style: Cutaway Dreadnought with multi-ply black and white binding and a round soundhole rosette.

Electronics & Hardware

• Palathetic™ Pickup System: Features Takamine’s proprietary Palathetic under-saddle design, which utilizes six individually shielded piezo elements—one for each string—embedded directly into the bridge block for exceptional string-to-string balance and feedback resistance.
• Graph-EX Preamp: Onboard preamp featuring a master volume slider, 3-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble), and an EQ bypass switch for live stage dialing.
