The 2001 814ce has a Grand Auditorium body shape with a Venetian cutaway. This body style is Taylor's signature design, known for its balanced sound that accommodates a wide range of playing styles, from fingerstyle to aggressive strumming. The guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top, which provides a broad dynamic range, and solid Indian rosewood for the back and sides, a classic tonewood pairing that delivers rich lows, clear trebles, and a slightly scooped midrange.
