The Univalve’s claim to fame is its plug-and-play tube swapping. Because it is a single-ended Class A design, you don't need to match tubes or adjust the bias. You can literally pull out an EL34 and pop in a 6L6, KT66, or even an old 6V6 while the amp is off, wait a minute for it to warm up, and have a completely different tonal foundation.
Built-in Hot Plate: It includes a legendary THD Hot Plate power attenuator, allowing you to crank the power tube to full distortion but keep the volume at "don't wake the neighbors" levels.
The Light Bulb (Noise Reduction/Compression): There is a literal automotive light bulb on the circuit that acts as a subtle compressor and protects the transformer. When you hit a power chord, the bulb glows, absorbing excess energy.
Dual Inputs: * Roll: Lower gain, classic "glassy" cleans.
Rock: Higher gain, ranging from classic crunch to heavy saturated overdrive.
