Built using UA's elite dual-processor architecture, it bypasses the need for an amplifier entirely, allowing guitarists to run classic British classic-rock crunch directly into a PA system, studio interface, or FRFR cabinet.

Three Distinct Plexi Voices

The Lion '68 accurately captures three specific variations of the classic late-60s Marshall circuit, selectable via a 3-way toggle switch:

• Super Lead: Recreates the definitive rock-n-roll voice of a standard '68 Plexi. It delivers aggressive midrange bite, high-end cut, and explosive gain when you roll up the internal volume controls.
• Super Bass: Emulates the smoother, rounder circuit variations favored by players like Jimi Hendrix and Malcolm Young. It features an alternate tone-stack configuration with less harsh top-end and a tighter, fat low-end response that pairs beautifully with fuzz pedals.
• Brown: Recreates the legendary "Van Halen" signature sound. It models a Super Lead dialed in with a lowered input voltage (via a Variac transformer) and a dummy load box, resulting in a highly compressed, squishy gain structure with effortless harmonic sustain.
