Bela Gemza’s classical guitars are more than just instruments—they are rare works of art that encapsulate the passion and resilience of a master luthier. Born in Hungary and displaced by World War II, Gemza settled in the United States and dedicated his life to handcrafting classical guitars from his modest midwestern basement. Over the course of his lifetime, he built only about 250 instruments, imbuing each with a distinctive character that today makes them highly prized by collectors and performers alike.
