Silvertone 1457
Amp-in-Case Icon with Vintage Mojo
The Silvertone 1457, crafted by Danelectro in the mid-1960s, is a distinctive semi-hollow electric guitar known for its unique “amp-in-case” design. Featuring a Masonite top and back over a poplar frame, it delivers a lightweight feel with resonant tone. The dual lipstick tube pickups provide a bright, articulate sound, complemented by individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. Its bolt-on poplar neck with a rosewood fingerboard ensures comfortable playability. The accompanying case houses a 5-watt tube amplifier with an 8-inch speaker and built-in tremolo, making it a self-contained rig ideal for practice and recording.
